Rau Construction completed the addition and renovation of Dick Smith Ford in 2003.  This project included a new 4,000 square foot service write-up bay and service write-up area, remodel and renovations included work to the existing showroom, customer lounge, new restrooms, parts manager, shop parts department, conference room, locker and wash room areas, sales offices and general offices. Exterior additions and renovations included new building façade and main entry, asphalt overlay of existing parking, and landscaping.

Limited land for expansion, coupled with the new guidelines of Ford Motor Company, along with high expectations of today's customers presented challenges for the project team. Rau worked closely with Dick Smith, and the staff at Dick Smith Ford along with the Architect, Ray Byers to develop a plan that would allow the dealership to remain open during construction, provide a safe environment for both employees and customers, and allow all the functions of this full service dealership to run smoothly and continuously.
